08 HMI Overview

08.1 HMI controls (typical)

Functions commonly available on i-Series HMIs:

• Start/Stop.

• Load recipe.

• Change tool.

• Manual film feed.

• Alarm history.

• Production statistics reset.

• Machine settings (restricted).

08.2 Security (typical RFID access)

Most i-Series systems allow normal running without login.

RFID access can restrict critical settings to nominated users.

Typical access procedure:

1. Present the RFID tag to the reader (if fitted).

2. Press the RFID access button.

3. Confirm the user pop-up and continue.

Users are typically logged out after a period of inactivity.
