Shared installation and commissioning steps.

1. Scope

Shared installation requirements for MPE i-Series tray sealers.

2. Utilities (confirm machine-specific values)

Typical i-Series requirements:

• Electrical supply: 3-phase supply (model-specific rating).

• Network/remote support: Wi‑Fi or Ethernet (CAT6), where fitted.

• Gas supply (MAP): machine- and option-specific.

• Vacuum supply: machine- and option-specific.

Do not connect utilities until you have confirmed the machine data plate and the model-specific specification.

3. Positioning and access

1. Maintain safe access to all guards and service panels.

2. Maintain safe access for tooling change and film loading.

3. Provide access to the main electrical isolator.

4. Level and anchor

1. Position the machine on a stable floor.

2. Level the frame.

3. Fit anchors where specified for the build.

5. Initial checks (before power on)

1. Inspect for transit damage.

2. Confirm guards and interlocks are intact.

3. Confirm emergency stops function mechanically (do not energise yet).

4. Confirm tooling, film hardware, and conveyors are secure.

6. First energisation and commissioning

1. Apply power and check for correct supply.

2. Check the HMI boots and displays no critical faults.

3. Safety reset and home all servo axes.

4. Warm up the sealing tool to the setpoint.

5. Run a dry cycle (no film, no trays) where safe to do so.

6. Run a dry cycle with film only.

7. Run first-off product and approve seal quality.

7. Handover records

Record at minimum:

• Model and serial number.

• Software/HMI version.

• Installed options (gas flush, printer, registered film, etc.).

• Utilities connected and verified values.
