23 Maintenance Schedule

Routine maintenance schedule (typical)

Use machine-specific schedules where provided.

Daily:

  • Clean sensors and reflectors. Confirm clean and dry after washdown.

  • Inspect belts/chains for wear, alignment, tension, and contamination.

  • Confirm the machine is free from foreign objects.

  • Test guard switches and confirm the machine will reset.

  • Check infeed belt tracking and adjust as required.

Weekly:

  • Lubricate roller shafts and carriage guide rods with soapy water (where specified).

  • Lubricate roller bearings with food-grade grease.

  • Check conveyor belt tension and wear.

  • Manually check main carriage and jaws for free movement (where safe to do so).

  • Inspect tray sensors and reflectors for damage.

Monthly:

  • Inspect bearings for excess wear and play.

  • Inspect conveyors for wear and tension.

  • Inspect carriage bearings/runners and lubricate with food-grade grease.

  • Inspect fasteners and mounting security.
